Dark chocolate, figs, and hints of coffee beans and vanilla.
This medium-purple Cabernet Sauvignon begins with fresh notes of cassis, blackberry, oak spice, and menthol. The wine opens to riper notes of kirsch, dark chocolate, figs, and hints of coffee beans and vanilla. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with great structure and nice balance, especially for being this young. Round with the perfect amount of sweetness, the wine finishes long and dry.
The Grand Klasse fruit was manually harvested and carefully sorted. The grapes were fermented in concrete and stainless steel, then lightly pressed into Bordeaux-style barrels. The wine aged in new French oak for 28 months before going into bottle.
