2019 Riesling Grand Klasse Reserve

Caramelized kumquat, citrus blossoms, bloomed nutmeg and a gorgeous chalky salinity. Swirling brings up sweet peaches, nectarine and dried apricot. A touch of caramelized sugar in the background adds an almost nutty sweetness that perfectly compliments the ripe stone fruits. The palate has surprising weight, with a mouthwatering combination of ripe fruits and a salty streak of minerals. The finish is remarkably long with resonating notes of stone fruit, flower petals and minerals.
Picked at night to maintain freshness, this wine was destemmed and macerated on the skins for 12-24 hours. The juice was then settled and transferred into a new French oak 500L for fermentation and aging with a small amount of skins included for the entire aging.
