Cassis, violets, dry sage, menthol and tangerine peel, this Bordeaux blend from Solaksen vineyard showcases a combination of sweet and savory tones on the nose. Swirling brings raspberry purée, potpourri, fresh plums, oak spice and graphite. Layered and mouthwatering, the wine has good texture and structure, with some nice tension holding everything together. The wine is still young, give it some air and you’ll see it shine in your glass. Drink now or in the next 10 years.
Solaksen vineyard (1430-1,490 f1 elevation) was planted off-axis over a fine sandy loam soil. This high elevation site produces lifted, vibrant and very aromatic wines with great structure and length.

92pts - Owen Bargreen: The 2019 ‘Solaksen Vineyard’ combines 60% Cabernet Sauvignon with the remainder Cabernet Franc and Malbec. The Cabernet Franc is singing in high octave with its red bell pepper notes that combine with chocolate covered red cherry, espresso grounds and suggestions of black tea.
