Ripe dark cherry, fig paste, dark chocolate, coffee beans, white pepper and oak spice, this 2019 Syrah shows a dark core and lots of spice on the nose. With some time in the glass, currant and ripe red fruit starts to show up, as well as herbal notes of menthol, sage and lavender. The palate is juicy and structured, with fine grain tannins, almost chalky, with a beautiful acid lift. Still young and showing great aging potential, this classic Gård Syrah can be enjoyed now or in the next 10 years.

93pts - Owen Bargreen Showing a deep core, the 2019 ‘Grand Klasse’ Syrah offers loganberry cordial with black currants, smoke and wet stone notes on the nose. This is deep and concentrated on the palate, loaded with rich dark fruits with tobacco leaf, milk chocolate and shades of creosote. This is seriously good Syrah that will age gracefully for at least another decade.

Gård Vintners is 100% estate grown sustainably at Lawrence Vineyards in the Royal Slope AVA. Lawrence Vineyards features seven distinct vineyard sites with elevations ranging 930 feet to 1,675 feet.
