Tasting notes
Ripe figs, strawberry confiture, cocoa powder, and espresso beans to begin, this very expressive Bordeaux blend from Conner Lee vineyard opens very intense on the nose. With some time in the glass, the wine shows huckleberry jam, tobacco and tar tones, in addition to mocha, Ceylán tea and dry herbs. The palate is plush and highly concentrated, but yet still angular and with fantastic structure. The wine finishes long, with beautiful texture, and a touch of oak spice and mocha. Enjoy now or in the next 10 years.

92pts - Owen Bargreen: Dark and brooding, the 2019 Gard Malbec shows huckleberry and black cherry flavors that mingle with minerals and good depth on the palate. Enjoy now and over the next five to seven years. This is a killer steak wine. Drink 2022-2028- 91
92pts - James Suckling:
This is toasty with cloves, cedar and nut shell, as well as ripe dark cherries and blackberries. Full-bodied with ripe and sticky tannins. Firm and polished, almost glossy with ripe purple fruit and a dusty finish. 60% merlot, 20% cabernet franc and 20% cabernet franc. Drink or hold.
90pts - Vinous/ Eric Guido: A dusting of exotic spice, smoky crushed stone and musky black currants create a darkly alluring bouquet as the 2019 Vineyard Series Conner Lee smolders up from the glass. It's silky yet cool-toned with a noticeable inner sweetness that's nicely contrasted by a mass of tart wild berry fruit. The 2019 leaves the palate stained in liquid purple and blue floral tones while finishing long with a gentle tannic grip. The Conner Lee is a blend 60% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon.
